ArtOMat Project - Drum Roll Please :)

I've been working feverishly, OK, not so feverishly but definitely putting in a lot of effort on my next batch of art blocks for ArtOMat. The ongoing project takes a great deal of time, effort and creative ideas but I'm enjoying the ride. I don't make the art for a profit that is for sure. It's a lot of fun knowing someone out there will get the little thrill of pulling the knob, hear the "kurplunk" sound and walla a miniature work of art.

I've created a 2ND edition of the birches but this time it's done in 4 blocks. It has spring colors given that spring is upon us and it's what has inspired me.

My daughter loves how the blocks come together to form a complete picture. Each art block is a work of art but they look so much better together.

Add a picture hanger to the back and you've got yourself a nice little conversation piece hanging on your wall.

OK - so enough chatter. Here is a sample of the art blocks created by me destined to kurplunk at a re-furbed vending machine near you.

Guess you'll need to collect all 4 to see the full effect. ;)

Art Block Prints

This little beauty is called "Caught By Surprise". She's a little garden nymph just going about her nymphing business when "wham" someone busted in on her territory. Seriously, she's kinda a cute - don't you agree. ;) By the way, she has a lovely gold leaf border surrounding the image. Super cool for only 5 bucks!

I have these art block prints available for sale at the same great price of $5.00 plus the meager sum of $2.50 for S/H. The art blocks can go anywhere you want to add a little artistic touch. Add a picture hanger to the back and walla you have a wall accent. Place it on your desk or in your cubby at work as a nice little (no pun intended) :) conversation piece.

All I can say is, these miniature works of art are an inexpensive way to collect art. I know that kurpluncking is "funer" as my young son would say but it's still kinda neat to get fun art in a compact package.

The blocks below are "Journey", "Cosmic Prayer", "Cosmic Dance". Comic Prayer and Dance are from my mandala artwork. I created these art pieces by digitally manipulating other art stuff made by me creating a mandala effect. They are mixed media prints on art blocks.

Getting Ready for the Next ArtoMat Batch

All of sudden, I got a flurry of new ideas for the artomat art blocks. I've been working on the art as time allows in between my kids asking for this thing and the next.

I'm also gathering blog links from other artomat artists to list on my blog. What goes around, comes around. I like to draw attention to the artists who create these great pieces; either works on wood blocks or in boxes. If you're an artomat artist, leave your comment here so I can add your blog link to the list. Anyone who wants to know more about the artist can click on the link.

Some people have asked about purchasing blocks directly from me. I will have some prints on blocks available. I will offer them for the same price as the vending machine - $5.00 plus $2.50 for S/H. The S/H offsets the cost for postage and packaging and that's it. Basically, I want to share my work not make a profit.
